There may come a time when you have to send secure information to somebody in the form of a note. I have seen many times where somebody had to send their friend, spouse, child, coworker a password for some account or service, and they chose to use SMS or a messenger service to send it. Not to sound like an alarmist, but they may as well have just spray painted that information on the side of a building.
Aside from using family shares on a good password manager like Lastpass, there are many serivces available to send secure information, and these services should be used. These services offer such things as:
- self-destructing messages
- messages that will be destroyed after a certain time limit
- copy protection (ability to CTRL-C disabled)
- password encrypted notes
- destruction receipt
- … and more
Here are some services to check out. They all offer excellent features (free and paid)
